and Archives Canada:
The 3rd Canadian Infantry Brigade was
part of the 1st Canadian Division and was formed from
Battalions recruited in Eastern and Western Canada. The
brigade included the 13th and 14th Battalions from Montreal,
the 15th Battalion from Toronto, and 16th Battalion from
Vancouver. The Brigade was commanded successively by
Brigadier-Generals R.E.W. Turner (September 1914 to August
1915), R.G.E. Leckie (August 1915 to February 1916), F.O.W.
Loomis (March 1916) and G.S. Tuxford (March 1916 to May 1919).
The 3rd Canadian Infantry Brigade was demobilized in May 1919.
